How Important is Tuning?

Beyond a quality installation, getting the computer to play nice is the most important step. We recently had a good customer show up with a '73 Camaro Z28 that he had just swapped in an LS3 and said the car ran and drove fine. He had no complaints and only wanted to see how much power it would put down on our chassis dyno. We noticed right away that fuel trims were 20% off which is fine at partial throttle but can cause big problems at full throttle. In just one round of adjustments we were able to find approximately 80 horsepower and get better gas mileage! See the video below:
